The visiting time of this temple is from 4.30am to 11.45 am and from 5.30pm to 8.30 pm. Non-Hindus are not allowed into the inner sanctum of this temple. Temple of Goddess Bhagavathi
This is another popular temple of the region dedicated to Bhagavathi – the Goddess of Power. Along with the religious fervour this temple is also renowned for its architectural glory which showcases the richness of South Indian culture. This temple is also famous for fulfilment of wishes which lures large number of devotees from across the world every year. Vivekananda Rock Memorial
The Vivekananda Rock Memorial is the temple compound situated 500 meters from the sea coast on the huge rock islands. It is believed that the great philosopher Swami Vivekananda had meditated on the rock and attained enlightenment. Vivekananda Rock Memorial was built in honour of this philosopher who had given new outlook to Indian culture.
