Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple is a Hindu temple located in amazing Madurai, a city with much to offer the history buff. The city was the capital of the Pandyan rulers. A Pandyan king named Kulasekhara built the temple and created lotus shaped city around this temple which came to be named Madurai.
